Oh summer, it always takes you a while to get here but once you are here, you do not disappoint!

So what were we up to all winter? Northwest Montana is gorgeous in the winter covered with a fluffy, white blanket of snow. The pace of life slows down a little, which we very much enjoy after a fun, busy summer! However, we do stay busy with upcoming summer reservations and projects, such as new websites and construction.

Early Season Hikes in Glacier National Park

Glacier National Park is open year round. Most people only know it for its beautiful Going-to-the-Sun road, but this road is only a small portion of what Glacier National Park has to offer. This year ‘the road’ as locals call it, is scheduled to be opened up completely on June 21st. There are still fabulous hikes that start close to West Glacier where the scenery is just breathtaking!

The Going-to-the-Sun Road is open!

The entire Going-to-the-Sun Rd opened on Tuesday. On Thursday we decided to do the entire drive to see the beautiful scenery for ourselves! We started on the West side up to Logan’s Pass which took about 1 1/5hrs, since there was a 30 minute wait due to construction. In normal circumstances a 30 minute delay would be infuriating, but on Going-to-the-Sun Rd it is actually quite relaxing.
